Our client, based in the US, is a private, non-profit organization accredited by CARF (Commission on Accreditation of Rehabilitation Facilities). Their area of expertise lies in offering comprehensive and adaptable behavioral health care services to people of all ages in Maryland. With seven locations, they address the diverse psychological needs of adults, children, and adolescents, including individuals with severe and persistent mental illnesses.
Serving a non-profit organization committed to offering comprehensive behavioural health services, our mission was clear: to enhance operational efficiency and patient care delivery. By addressing challenges such as inefficient data management, limited accessibility, data security concerns, and interoperability issues, our team crafted a tailored solution that revolutionized the organization's approach to healthcare delivery.
The organization encountered several obstacles that impeded its ability to deliver optimal Patient care:
The company struggled with out-of-date paper-based medical records, which resulted in serious mistakes, lost data, and patient care delays. The company also had trouble properly maintaining its data, making it inefficient to obtain and use patient information.
Patient data availability slowed decision-making and impeded medical staff collaboration. Restrictions on access to vital information and resources made it more difficult for staff to provide patients with prompt, all-encompassing care.
Protecting the confidentiality and integrity of patient data was crucial, especially in view of the growing danger of data breaches. Security lapses and illegal access may jeopardize patient confidentiality and privacy, raising serious concerns regarding patient data security.
The organization's healthcare systems and EHRs were incompatible, fragmenting patient data and limiting departmental communication. The need for interoperability between systems and platforms hampered data exchange and care coordination among departments and healthcare providers.
To Overcome these Challenges, a multifaceted technological approach was adopted:
We use technologies such as Angular, HTML5, CSS3, and others to ensure that obtaining & managing patient details was straightforward and uncomplicated. Staff was given user interfaces for patient information & resources using the front-end solution.
A solid foundation was painstakingly laid for the EHR system.Net framework, which ensures faultless data processing and system performance. On the back end, infrastructure changes were made in order to maximize the system's dependability and performance.
We used SQL Azure, a reliable and effective data management solution, to store and arrange patient data. As a solution to the issues that were caused by inefficient data administration, an all-encompassing database system was successfully established.
Our solution used SSL/TLS encryption, firewalls, and strict access controls to protect patient data and comply with healthcare data privacy requirements, per OWASP Standards. The organization's systems and networks were heavily secured in response to data security concerns.
